Four-star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is reportedly planning on flying with Najee Harris to Alabama following the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Where in the world is Najee Harris going? Okay, so it’s not quite Carmen Sandiego, but his recruitment is just as dramatic.
First, it was reported the 5-star running back would be making his decision between Alabama and Michigan known following the 2017 U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday. Then we learned that Harris wouldn’t tell the media where he was going. Instead, he would simply hop on a flight to either Ann Arbor or Tuscaloosa, and that’s how we’d learn of his choice.
It’s an old school approach but a unique way of thinking in the modern recruiting era.
However, if you were to ask 4-star quarterback and Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa where Harris will end up, he’d say on a one-way flight to Alabama, which is what he told 247Sports.
Tagovailoa plans on being “on the same flight” as Harris to Birmingham, Alabama this Sunday.
Should Harris choose the Crimson Tide over the Wolverines, he and Tagovailoa are scheduled to be roommates in Tuscaloosa.
When confronted about the claim Tagovailoa made, Harris deflected with, “What flight? I don’t even know my flight.”
Of course, Harris’ brother, Malachi, took to Twitter and made it known he prefers Harris to play for Jim Harbaugh at Michigan rather than Nick Saban at Alabama.
He said this. She said that. It’s all a speculation game right now.
If you’re following Harris’ recruitment closely, ignore everything you’re hearing about the nation’s No. 1 player leaning one way or the other. Sit back, relax and wait for Harris to show up for classes on Monday. That’s how we’ll all find out.
