4-Star WR Tyjon Lindsey Shares Message With Ohio State Following Decommitment

It certainly came as a surprise late Tuesday night when 4-star prospect Tyjon Lindsey announced he had re-opened his recruitment, decommitting from Ohio State.

Lindsey, the No. 6 wide receiver and No. 47 overall player in the country, originally committed to the Buckeyes in August with Trevon Grimes, a 5-star wide receiver.

When considering two of Lindsey’s high school teammates, 5-star quarterback Tate Martell and 4-star defensive tackle Haskell Garrett, will be playing in Columbus next fall, Ohio State fans certainly did not expect the 4-star pass catcher to back off his pledge.

But when Lindsey spoke to Cleveland.com, he shared the following message to thank Buckeye Nation and further illustrate the reason behind his decision.
