UNC vs. Georgia Tech Prediction Roundtable – What’s Going to Happen

UNC vs. Georgia Tech prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen during Saturday’s ACC Coastal game between the Tar Heels and Yellow Jackets.

Jeff Bartl

I can’t see this one being close. Larry Fedora’s offense will have a field day with a Georgia Tech team that has allowed at least 35 points in three of its last four games. UNC wins by three scores.

Jonathan Bass

Fun fact: Even at 2-3 in the conference, Paul Johnson’s Yellow Jackets are still mathematically alive to win the division. Just thought I should get that in before that stat dies on Saturday. Heels win relatively easily while hoping for a Virginia Tech slip-up eight miles down the road.

Robert Judin

I picked against UNC when it took down Florida State in Tally, and that was a mistake. Mitch Trubisky could be the next boom-or-bust quarterback we see get drafted way too early. As far as his Tar Heels are concerned, though, he’ll lead them to a win against Georgia Tech. Paul Johnson is a fine head coach, but UNC has too much talent for the Yellow Jackets to match.

Dave Miller

UNC is trying to keep pace with Virginia Tech in the ACC Coastal division race, especially because the Hokies have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Tar Heels. Larry Fedora’s offense is too potent for the Yellow Jackets to contain, but can the Heels’ defense contain Paul Johnson’s option attack? GT will spring some explosive plays, but too much Mitch Trubisky and Elijah Hood will do the Jackets in this week.

Brian Stultz

We need to talk about this picture of Larry Fedora that was published last week.

No college coach could pull off that look besides him. I don’t know Mrs. Fedora, but she did herself well. Just based on the picture, I’m picking the Tar Heels to win, and plead for Paul Johnson to never try and replicate Fedora’s costume.
