Four-star wide receiver Jeff Thomas shined in the 2017 Under Armour All-America Game and even walked away with his name in the record books.

On Sunday, Team Armour defeated Team Highlight, 24-21, in the 2017 Under Armour All-America Game.

There were plenty of promising moments that showed us a glimpse of the future of college football, but no other player shined as bright as 4-star recruit Jeff Thomas.

Ranked as the country’s No. 7 wide receiver and No. 50 overall player, Thomas etched his name into the record books, as he became the first Under Armour All-American to score two touchdowns in the game. He finished with three catches for 148 yards.

“I just tried to play the best that I can and be Jeff Thomas,” he said following the game.

While Thomas refused to discuss his final schools, he did note he intends to make a decision on National Signing Day on Feb. 1.

Of the many offers Thomas holds, Illinois, Louisville, Miami and Oregon appear to be the main contenders for his commitment.

Thomas showed why he’s so highly recruited. He put on display his ability to create separation off the line and use his acceleration to prove why he’s so difficult to bring down in the open field.

Thomas and Florida State commit Khalan Laborn, a 4-star running back, were named the Most Valuable Players of the game.

Laborn got Team Highlight on the board first when he busted a 21-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He finished with 77 yards on eight carries.

One other player who showed out is 4-star defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson, who is down to LSU and Texas in his recruitment. Chaisson finished the game with six tackles, but five were for a loss and three were sacks.

Five-star linebacker Dylan Moses, an Alabama commit, came to play as well. He recorded 10 total tackles, which led the game. All 10 came within the first three quarters, and one of those tackles was for a loss.

Tom Crean Deserved Better From Indiana

Tom Crean rebuilt the Indiana program, then became a victim of his own success. The school's administration - and the Hoosiers' fan base - owed him more than an undeserved dismissal.
