Four-star tight end Zack Kuntz revealed his top eight schools on Wednesday, showing love to several College Football Playoff contenders.

The time has come for the 2018 prospect Zack Kuntz to take the next step in his recruitment.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Camp Hill, Pennsylvania native revealed his top eight schools in alphabetical order, and you’ll immediately recognize that several of the programs are currently contending for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Kuntz’s top schools are Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford and Tennessee. He clarified that David Shaw’s Cardinal have not yet put an offer on the table while also releasing a statement regarding his list of choices.

“I would like to take this time to thank all the coaches and their staffs for all they have done through my recruitment process. My recruitment is by all means not closed, and I am open to any other schools that show interest in the future, [but] these are the schools that I will be focusing my attention on …”

Ranked as the No. 3 tight end and No. 67 overall player in the 2018 recruiting class, Kuntz measures 6-foot-7, 215 lbs. He’s an ideal red zone weapon with his height, hands and body control.

Kuntz does an excellent job of retrieving the ball at its highest point and holding on to it while in traffic.

Other programs that have offered Kuntz but did not make his list of top schools include Maryland, Nebraska, Pitt, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
