Former Aztec Xander Schauffele Has Historic First Round In U.S. Open Debut

Xander Schauffele, formerly of San Diego State, became the first player in U.S. Open history to shoot a bogey-free round of 66-or better in his debut. Schauffele’s 6-under in Round 1 on Thursday positioned him a tie for second place entering the second day of the major.
