Kansas: 15 Final Four Appearances
The Kansas Jayhawks are currently fifth on the list of most Final Four Appearances in college basketball history. In the history of Kansas’ men’s CBB program, they have currently made 15 Final Four appearances.
The Jayhawks have consistently been one of the nation’s best college basketball teams. Legendary coaches from Roy Williams to current coach Bill Self have put together some great Kanas teams.
Their last FF appearance was in 2018 and they’re looking to snap that streak this year.
Duke: 16 Final Four Appearances
The legendary Duke Blue Devils are currently 4th with the most Final Four appearances in college basketball history. During the 1980s Mike Kryrzewski put Duke on the map as a dominant force in CBB.
The iconic Coach K led the Blue Devils to 13 of their 16 Final Four appearances during his tenure. This incredible feat made Duke a household name in college basketball.
Duke’s latest head coach and former player Jon Scheyer will look to make it seventeen in the upcoming tournament.
Kentucky: 17 Final Four Appearances
Kentucky was one of the first dominant teams in college basketball. Their 17 Final Four appearances put them fourth on the most Final Four appearances in college basketball history list.
Starting with the legendary Adolph Rupp to Rick Pitino and John Calipari, the Kentucky Wildcats are known for their excellence. John Calipari won the school’s last national title in 2015.
This year, Calipari’s team will attempt to break the team’s 10-year Final Fours drought.
UCLA: 19 Final Four Appearances
It goes without saying that the UCLA Bruins would be on the list of most Final Four appearances. In the history of UCLA’s basketball program, they have reached the Final Fours on 19 occasions.
Of those 19 appearances, the Bruins went on to win the national title on eleven occasions. Those eleven titles are the most among all other teams in college basketball history.
UCLA hasn’t been as dominant in years past, but who knows? They could go on another incredible run in the future.
North Carolina: 21 Final Four Appearances
Out of all the CBB programs, no other school has made it to the Final Four more than North Carolina. The Tar Heels have been a dominant team for decades and lead all schools with 21 Final Four appearances.
Of those 21 Final Fours appearances, NC has made it to the national title game 12 times. Then in those 12 national title appearances, the Tar Heels have won it all 6 times.
