2024 Heisman Trophy Favorites
The college football season is wrapping up, and so is the hunt for the Heisman Trophy. Five players have been head and shoulders above their competition this year and are looking to make a final push.
Here is the current top-five list of the 2024 Heisman Trophy favorites. Check out the top five players below and see what their chances are of taking the trophy home.
Travis Hunter: Colorado +110
Leading the 2024 Heisman Trophy favorites is dual threat standout from Colorado, Travis Hunter. Travis takes after his coach, Deion Sanders and is killing it on both sides of the ball.
Hunter hasn’t missed a game and has played outstandingly throughout the year. He currently has 850 yards on the year, with nine touchdowns and two interceptions.
If Travis can break the 1000-yard mark and add a few TDs, he may have the Heisman locked up. The CU Wideout could also use a place where students can pay for essay.
Dillon Gabriel: Oregon +360
Currently in the second spot on 2024 Heisman Trophy favorites list is Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel. The Ducks are currently one of two undefeated teams left standing and Gabriel was the key to their success.
Dillon has played well, but he’s also had multiple top-10 position players to help him out. Oregon’s last two games against mediocre opponents in Wisconsin and Washington won’t help his chances.
However, a standout game in the Big-10 Championship may give him a boost. We’ll just have to see what happens as the season winds down.
Ashton Jeanty: Boise State +360
Right there with Gabriel on the 2024 Heisman Trophy favorites list is Ashton Jeanty. The Boise State RB has been a one-man human highlight reel for most of the season.
Jeanty has had a number of huge games this year and added a 200-yard game against Nevada last week. Unfortunately he had a couple mid-level performances, while Hunter has pulled ahead of Ashton in the Heisman hunt.
Unless Hunter takes his foot off the gas, Jeanty may have to wait until next year.
Cameron Ward: Miami +800
Cameron Ward was right in the hunt as one of the 2024 Heisman Trophy favorites until last week. Miami lost a heartbreaker to Georgia Tech on the road and have put their postseason hopes in jeopardy.
Before this loss, Ward put up impressive numbers with 3,500 yards and 32 TDs. Unfortunately, the Hurricanes’ last two games against Wake Forest and Syracuse won’t improve his chances of getting the trophy.
Kurtis Rourke: Indiana +1500
Kurtis Rourke wasn’t on the Heisman radar at the start of the season. However, Indiana has put together the best run in school history, and Rourke was a huge part of it.
It’s unlikely that Rourke will get the Heisman, but that isn’t the goal of the Hoosiers. Next week, they meet Ohio State and could make history with the biggest win in school history.
Nobody had the Indiana Hoosiers in the fold for the NCAA title to start the season.
