#6 Georgia’s Keys to Victory

Georgia is the reigning kings of the SEC and they have dominated in play against Tennessee. The Bulldogs have won eight straight meetings against the Volunteers and are looking to make it night straight.

However, Georgia has a few issues going into this conference game and the big one is QB Gunner Stockton. Bulldog fans were happy to see Carson Beck leave in the off-season, but they aren’t liking what they’re seeing from Stockton.

He played poorly against Austin Peavy last week, who doesn’t have a great defense and is hesitant to throw big passes. Coach Kirby Smart even told the press that Stockton isn’t translating his talent from practice to games.

They also have some injuries at cornerback, but their defense is still strong and has been Tennessee’s kryptonite. During this 8-game losing streak to Georgia, the Bulldog’s defense has been one of the deciding factors.

Georgia will need to lean on their strong defense to keep Tennessee’s high-powered offense in check. Coach Josh Heupel is 0-4 against Georgia during his tenure and has yet to figure out how to beat the Bulldog’s defense.

Kirby Smart will likely keep the same game plan until Heupel figures out how to stop him.

#15 Tennessee Keys to Victory

Despite losing their starting QB last year, Tennessee actually looks better than they did last season. Joey Aguilar has come in and the Volunteers haven’t skipped a beat.

However, they still haven’t figured out Georgia’s defense and the Bulldog’s D-line is one of the toughest in the nation. This brings us to one of the big question marks for Tennessee and that’s their freshman David Sanders Jr.

Sanders(a true freshman and 5 star) recruit will be making his debut against one of the nation’s toughest defenses. Georgia will likely test Tennessee’s freshman OT early to see if he can handle the pressure.

Despite Georgia dominating the match up in recent years, this could be the year Tennessee takes them. Their offense is strong as ever and they’re playing at home with one of the loudest fan bases on their side.

Who’s Going to Win?

This year, anyone in the SEC could take the division and this game could decide who wins it. All of the odds makers are expecting a close game and we’re going with an upset win.

Tennessee has everything they need to beat Georgia this year and the luxury of home field advantage. The Volunteers looked good in their opener as they won a big test against Syracuse.

If Gunner Stockton plays badly at Tennessee like he did last week, the Bulldogs will lose.

That’s why we’re taking the money line on Tennessee.

Pick: +240 ML on #15 Tennessee
