Ohio State’s Keys to Victory

Ohio State

People assumed that Ohio State was gutted after losing their fifth straight game against Michigan and counted them out. However, that loss to Michigan seems to have ignited a fire under the Buckeyes, and they are playing unbelievably well.

In back-to-back games, OSU trounced both Tennessee and favorite Oregon by double digits. They are playing up to their talent when it matters most and they’re going to be extremely hard to beat this Friday.

The Buckeyes keys to victory will lay on the shoulders of QB Will Howard and their defense. If Howard can get the Buckey’s offense rolling early, the Longhorns aren’t going to be able to beat them.

Their defense will also have to shut down the Texas running game to ensure they leave Arlington with a win.

Texas Longhorns Keys to Victory

Texas

Watching the Longhorns in this year’s CFB playoffs has been a tale of two teams. In their win against Clemson, they rushed for over 300 yards and looked impressive.

However, against ASU, they only rushed for 52 yards, which put all the pressure on Quinn Ewers to win the game. The Longhorns have a talented team, but if they can’t run the ball against Ohio State, they won’t win.

That game vs. Arizona State was exciting, but Ohio State will blow out Texas if they play like that against them. UT’s defense has played well all year, but they’re going to have to be a their best and shutdown Will Howard.

If Will Howard gets the ball to playmaking WR Jeremiah Smith, it’s going to be a long game for Texas.

Who Will Win?

When you look at how each team has played in the playoffs, it’s hard to pick against Ohio State. They have the most talented team in all of college football and have looked almost unstoppable.

The Texas Longhorns also have a talented team, but it’s going to take everything they have to stop OSU’s momentum. That’s why we’re taking all of the betting lines on Ohio State.

The Ohio State Buckeyes cover the 5.5 spread and go over the 53.5 point total.
