The Top 5 College QBs of 2025

We’re six months away from a new CFB season and the nation’s top quarterbacks will look to make names for themselves. This year’s quarterback class is highly talented and will battle each other to take the national title.

As the competition heats up on the field, fans are in for an exciting season filled with high-stakes matchups. And just like these quarterbacks are searching for the perfect play, you can find the best-reviewed casinos to make your own winning moves.

5. Garrett Nussmeier: LSU

Garrett Nussmeier

It took three years for Garrett Nussmeier to get his shot to start for the LSU Tigers. He came from out of nowhere and finished fifth in the nation with 4,043 passing yards.

Not only does Nussmeier have a strong arm, but also top-ranked accuracy and he had very few tournaments. His big passing ability and his athletic wideouts will make for a dangerous LSU offense.

Garrett Nussmeier takes fifth on our list of the top 5 QBs of 2025.

4. Drew Allar: Penn State

Drew Allar

Penn State’s Drew Allar had a great season last year taking his team to the CFB playoff semifinals. Coming back as a freshman, Allar is easily one of the top 5 college QBs of 2025.

Last year, Drew displayed a strong arm and made 21 big-time throws. Scouts had critiques about his accuracy and footwork, but Allar has been working on that during the off-season.

With a talented Penn State roster around him, the Nittany Lions are primed for another playoff run.

3. Carson Beck: Miami

Carson Beck

Carson Beck was already one of the top 5 QBs in the nation last year. For his final year of college ball, Beck has transferred to Miami in an attempt to improve his draft stock.

While Carson made big plays, he forced many turnovers mainly due to Georgia’s underwhelming receiving core. Despite the rocky season last year, Beck still has the 2nd highest passing grade at 90.9 PFF.

He’ll be playing against less stiff competition in the ACC, but he might have a better shot at the playoffs.

2. Sam Leavitt: Arizona State

Sam Leavitt

Last year, Sam Leavitt played a big role in Arizona State’s resurgence. Leavitt helped lead ASU to their first Big 12 title and playoff berth in the program’s history.

Sam has shown to be a dual threat as he can throw and break off runs. However, with RB Cam Skattebo moving to the pros, all of the pressure will be on Leavitt to lead ASU.

1. Cade Klubnik: Clemson

Cade Klubnik

Of all of the top 5 college QBs of 2025, none has improved like Clemson’s Cade Klubnik. In 2023, Klubnik was the 102nd ranked quarterback in the nation in his first season as the starter.

Cade skyrocketed to become the nation’s 5th ranked quarterback and has NFL scouts talking. Last season, only Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders threw more touchdowns than Klubnikand and they’re top NFL prospects.

In just one season, Cade Klubnik was able to mark himself as one of the nation’s top QBs. The expectations for Klubnik and Clemson are high for the upcoming season.
