5. Andy McDonald: Colgate University(1996-2000)

Starting off the list of the greatest Canadian college hockey players is Ontario’s own Andy McDonald. After getting a lot of attention during his teens, McDonald accepted a scholarship to play for Colgate University.
He became one of the school’s all-time best hockey players with dominant performances during the late 1990s. Andy finished his college career as Colgate’s leading scorer with 147 points(67 goals, 80 assists) in 129 games.

One of the earliest greatest Canadian college hockey players of all-time was college legend Dave Taylor. The Ontario native went down to the States to play for Clarkson University where he became a top college player.
In the 1976-1977 season, Taylor set the school record with 108 points(41 goals, 67 assists) in 34 games. Taylor finished his collegiate career with 259 points(98 goals, 161 assists) in 117 games.
